HUNTER, N.Y. (AP) - State police say they’ve arrested an Illinois man after an alleged rape at an upstate New York hotel.

Justin Mutombo was arraigned Friday in Greene County on felony charges of rape and sex abuse.

The 33-year-old is jailed in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

Police say the alleged incident happened in the Village of Hunter in the Catskill Mountains.

The area is known for hiking in the summer and skiing and snow tubing in the winter.

Information on Mutombo’s lawyer was not immediately available.
