GARRISON, N.D. (AP) - Fort Stevenson State Park near Garrison is holding its annual Frontier Military Days this weekend.

The two-day event provides a glimpse of what life was like on the North Dakota frontier when forts were built to protect settlers and traders.

Re-enactors with the Frontier Army of Dakota will set up tents and other gear, and conduct cannon and gun presentations. Other demonstrations will include baking and tomahawk throwing.
