ATLANTA (AP) - Police are searching for a motorcyclist who left the scene of a crash that killed his female passenger.
Authorities say a woman was driving along Atlanta’s Downtown Connector early Sunday morning and was trying to merge onto Interstate-20 when she rear ended a motorcycle that was carrying a man and woman.
Police say the woman was knocked off the motorcycle and was run over. Authorities say she was pinned beneath the car after the crash.
Police say the motorcyclist called the woman’s name and left the scene when she was unresponsive. Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones says police were searching for the man Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say the car’s driver has been charged with vehicular homicide, DUI, reckless driving and following too closely.
