DERIDDER, La. (AP) - The city of DeRidder is planning a Fourth of July celebration on Friday.

City officials say events will take place from 7-9 p.m. in the downtown area at the Amerisafe Pavilion.

The city will provide free hamburgers, hot dogs and watermelons. Drinks will be sold for $1.

Activities for adult and children are planned and the celebration will conclude with a fireworks display over Washington Avenue.

The festivities are being done in partnership with Grace Church.
