WYOMING, Mich. (AP) - About 100 people have held a candlelight vigil for a 34-year-old father of six who was killed in an industrial accident at the western Michigan plastics plant where he worked.

WOOD-TV (https://bit.ly/1qofVal ) says that Russel Scharenbroch Jr. died Friday afternoon at Grand Rapids Plastics Inc. in Wyoming. It says he was cleaning an injection molding machine when he got caught inside the equipment.

Elizabeth Diep told those at Saturday night’s vigil at the plant that her brother-in-law was “the perfect husband” and “the perfect dad.”

The station says that a fundraiser for the Grand Rapids family will take place at 1 p.m. July 19 at Kuzzins Lounge in Grand Rapids.
