HERNANDO, Miss. (AP) - Judging from complaints and comments on residential parking of vehicles, trailers and boats, the DeSoto Board of Supervisors can expect a good-sized crowd at a July 7 public hearing on the off-street parking ordinance affecting unincorporated areas.

The Commercial Appeal reports ( https://bit.ly/1kzqGDd ) the session will be held during the board’s monthly first-Monday meeting in Hernando.

Supervisor Bill Russell of Walls said Monday he received 25 complaints from one neighborhood.

Russell says the issues are about vehicles and major recreational equipment parked on front yards, side yards or in back but still visible from the street facing the home.
