CINCINNATI (AP) - A magistrate judge says one of two Cincinnati-area abortion clinics will have to close during a lengthy court battle.

Hamilton County Magistrate Michael Bachman’s says he will issue a ruling on July 10 forcing the Lebanon Road Surgery Center of Sharonville to close.

The clinic’s attorney, Jennifer Branch, says she will file an objection to Bachman’s order. That would send the case back to the same judge whose January ruling allowed the clinic to stay open during a court fight.

The legal dispute began in January after the Ohio Department of Health ordered the clinic closed.

The department’s director at the time decided to revoke its license, questioning whether it had followed rules to provide backup care for patients.

The clinic attributes the order to political pressure by anti-abortion activists.
