WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina Department of Transportation crews are planning to make repairs to the approach to the Swearing Creek Bridge on southbound Interstate 85 in Davidson County ahead of the Fourth of July holiday travel period.

Weather permitting, crews will begin work daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday and complete the project by 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Two of the three southbound lanes of Swearing Creek Bridge will be closed during construction.

The work will impact a stretch of I-85 between Exits 88 and 91 near state Highway 47 in Lexington.
