GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A $2.4 million grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation is expected to help efforts to get children and families out of poverty in Grand Rapids.

The funding announced Wednesday from the Battle Creek-based foundation is for LINC Community Revitalization Inc. It will help the organization expand work in predominantly Latino and black neighborhoods, supporting efforts through April 30, 2017.

LINC is a neighborhood revitalization organization for Kent County.
