PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man who went into medical distress while working on remodeling a home in Phoenix has died.

Phoenix police say the name of the 78-year-old man is being withheld until his family can be notified.

They say the man was working around noon Wednesday in the attic of a home he was helping remodel in the area of North 15th Avenue.

The man suffered some sort of medical distress and the Phoenix Fire Department was called out to give him aid and remove him from the attic.

He was transported to a Phoenix hospital, where he died.

Police say it will be up to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
