SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich (kuh-NEZ’-oh-vich) has apologized for sending out re-election news Tuesday from his public information office.

Knezovich told The Spokesman-Review (https://bit.ly/Ub4Jkf) he didn’t realize it was a violation of campaign law.

The Public Disclosure Commission says the endorsement news should have been sent from a personal computer without using county resources.
