HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police have detained an unruly male passenger who was aboard a flight from New York City that landed safely at William P. Hobby Airport.

A spokesman for JetBlue Airways on Wednesday had no immediate details on the problem aboard Flight 581 from John F. Kennedy International Airport. Rick Clark says nobody was hurt during the incident Tuesday afternoon.

KPRC-TV (https://bit.ly/1kpNQwP ) reports investigators say the man, whose name wasn’t released, allegedly was intoxicated and tried to share prescription drugs with another passenger - a child.

Clark says authorities were called to meet the Embraer E-190. The plane carried 86 passengers plus a four-person crew.

Houston police did not immediately return a message Wednesday.
