SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Sacramento police are looking into the possibility that drug use was to blame for an apparent murder-suicide.

The bodies of two men were found at an apartment in the city’s Natomas area on Wednesday afternoon by officers responding to multiple calls reporting shots had been fired. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified one of the men on Thursday as 27-year-old Juan Castro Valenzuela.

The men had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Police spokesman Doug Morse told the Sacramento Bee (https://bit.ly/1tLMmwB) one of the men’s wounds appeared self-inflicted.

He said police are looking into the possibility that one or both men were using drugs, but declined to elaborate. Morse said the men were acquaintances.
