COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A former accountant from Camden has been convicted of stealing more than half a million dollars from a client’s estate and using the money to buy luxury goods for himself.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles says 61-year-old Joseph Glenn Folsom Jr. was found guilty Wednesday of four counts of interstate transportation of stolen money.

Folsom faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced later. Prosecutors say he prepared a will for a client in 2006 and named himself as executor.

After the woman died, authorities say Folsom took about $580,000 from her estate and used it to buy classic cars, an airplane and lake property for himself.
