MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (AP) - Prosecutors in Ohio say a 34-year-old man has been indicted on charges that include aggravated murder in the fatal stabbing of an 80-year-old woman in April.

Police say Tyrone Caldwell killed Marilyn Eversole during an apparent burglary in Mount Vernon, northeast of Columbus, on April 8. He’s also accused of attacking a 67-year-old home health worker who arrived at the apartment that morning to spend time with Eversole.

Prosecutors in Knox County say a grand jury has indicted Caldwell on charges that include aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault and aggravated burglary.

He’s also charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly disposing of the clothes he was wearing.

Caldwell is being held on a $1 million bond. Online records didn’t include attorney information. The grand jury indictments were announced Wednesday.
