BOSTON (AP) - Two Boston firefighters have suffered injuries fighting a three-alarm fire that left eight people homeless in the city’s West Roxbury neighborhood.

The Boston Globe reports (bit.ly/1tK4d6Q) that the fire started just after 9 p.m. Wednesday in a 2 ½ story house. The Red Cross is assisting the residents who’ve been displaced, including two children.

Fire officials say a firefighter has been taken to a hospital for a leg injury and another has been treated by emergency medical service workers for smoke inhalation. Boston EMS also treated three others with an eye wash.
