PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Prosecutors showed jurors a dance video in an effort to debunk a gang member’s argument that he was too fat to stop a friend from getting out of a van and firing the shots that killed a 12-year-old girl.

The images of Luis “Fat Boy” Gonzalez’s dance moves were part of closing arguments Wednesday in his murder conspiracy trial.

Gonzalez has testified he couldn’t move fast enough to prevent 22-year-old Branden Castro from firing into a crowd at a graduation party last June 15.

Prosecutors allege that Gonzalez, who weighed 570 pounds at the time, and four other gang members went to the Hartford Housing Project that night seeking revenge for the killing of a friend.

Aynis (EYE’-nees) Vargas Felix was shot to death. Three women with her were wounded.
