FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - A 33-year-old Florence man has died after he was shot while riding a moped in the city.

Deputies say the killing of Edward Windham was planned by two brothers angry he was found not guilty of killing a third brother in 2004.

Authorities say Windham was riding his moped when he was shot around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies charged Corey Allen with murder and his brother Frederick Allen as an accessory before the fact. Investigators say the brothers were angry at Windham because a jury in 2008 found him not guilty of killing their brother four years earlier.

It wasn’t known if either suspect had a lawyer.
