ALPINE, Calif. (AP) - San Diego County authorities are seeking a man they say stole brass plaques from the graves of military veterans and their spouses.

Authorities say seven plaques valued at about $3,500 were pried from graves at the Alpine Cemetery in April of 2013.

Two people were arrested but investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying and finding a third man.

A photo of the suspect appears Thursday on the San Diego County Crime Stoppers website. It shows a tattooed man wearing a black, backward-facing ball cap.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
