TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A man is in custody in Tucson in connection with the death of his female roommate.
Pima County Sheriff’s officials say 23-year-old Veronica Anderson was found dead in her southside Tucson home around 1:35 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies say they were called to the house on a report of a drug overdose.
But they say evidence at the scene was inconsistent with a drug overdose and homicide detectives now are investigating the death.
Sheriff’s officials say 22-year-old Keenan Gallagher has been booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of second-degree murder.
It’s not immediately clear if Gallagher has a lawyer yet.
