TRUMBULL, Conn. (AP) - Police say three people suffered minor injuries when a section of portable bleachers collapsed at a high school baseball game in Connecticut.

The Connecticut Post reports (https://bit.ly/1nY3T7x) one person was taken to a hospital after the 5 p.m. Friday accident.

The Post reports that about 50 spectators were on the stands at Trumbull High School during a class LL semifinal playoff game between Trumbull and Fairfield Warde High School.

The newspaper said Warde fans where chanting “I believe, we will win,” when the metal stands fell in the fifth inning.

The game was delayed while the spectators were checked out but later resumed.

Warde won the game 5-1.
