PARAMUS, N.J. (AP) - Wildlife officials plan to relocate a bear cub that had been wandering the streets of Paramus to the woods of Sussex County.

Police chased the cub up a tree on Thursday afternoon.

Police Officer Ben Fox tells The Record (https://bit.ly/1ojibgB ) newspaper the state can only capture a bruin if it’s in a tree and will leave it alone if it’s walking around.

State wildlife officials tranquilized the cub and it fell into a net.
