TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in the desert southwest of Tucson.

Pima County Sheriff’s officials say the woman has been identified as 49-year-old Irma Francisco.

The sheriff’s department was called about 7 a.m. Friday after a person on horseback reported finding the body.

Deputies say the body showed no signs of obvious trauma and it will be up to the county medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.

Authorities say Francisco had been reported missing by the Pascua Yaqui Police Department.
