COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is praising Gov. Nikki Haley for leading South Carolina as an exemplary model of conservative principles at work.

At the Republican Party’s Silver Elephant Dinner on Friday, Jindal said Haley has a done a great job of leading the fastest growing economy on the East Coast and he hopes the people of South Carolina will allow her to serve another four years.

Jindal also described her Democratic opponent, state Sen. Vicnent Sheheen of Camden, as a trial attorney whose policies the people of South Carolina do not need.

Jindal says America as a whole needs new leadership to cut government spending, create jobs and replace Obamacare.

Also speaking at the event are Haley and Senators Lindsay Graham and Tim Scott.
