NEON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police have charged a juvenile with murder after a 4-month-old boy was found dead in eastern Kentucky.

The Lexington Herald-Leader (https://bit.ly/1no2bZr ) reports that state police dispatchers received a call early Friday reporting the baby was missing from a house in Letcher County. State police say the infant’s body was found over an embankment behind the house.

Letcher County Coroner Marty Baker says preliminary autopsy results show the child died of blunt force trauma to the head.

State police say the investigation led detectives to charge the juvenile with murder.

Police did not release the juvenile’s name, age or gender and did not say how the suspect was related to the baby.

They also did not say how the baby’s fatal head injury occurred.
