ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham is holding a town hall meeting aimed at discussing problems with the New Mexico Veterans Affairs medical center in Albuquerque.

The Democrat scheduled the town hall meeting Saturday at Central New Mexico Community College and says veterans also can meet privately with her staff.

Grisham says she’s concerned about allegations that the New Mexico VA Health Care System manipulated wait times and delayed care for thousands of veterans.

The congressional staffers were told nearly two-thirds of patients at the Albuquerque VA medical center are seen within a 14-day window, but Lujan Grisham questioned the data given that VA officials weren’t initially forthcoming about the patient pool.
