BELTON, Texas (AP) - A man charged with wounding three Central Texas police officers has pleaded not guilty in an incident in which a fourth officer died two days after being shot.

Marvin Louis Guy of Killeen on Thursday appeared in court in Belton and pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted capital murder.

Guy, who’s jailed on $3 million bond, was arrested following the May 9 gunfire as Killeen police tried to serve a drug warrant at his home.

Two officers were treated and released. A third required additional care for a leg wound. Officer Charles “Chuck” Dinwiddie died May 11 at a hospital.

Bell County District Attorney Henry Garza has said evidence is still being gathered for possible charges against Guy over Dinwiddie’s death.
