WILLIAMSON, W.Va. (AP) - The search is on for a new superintendent of schools in Mingo County.

Media outlets report that Randy Keathley announced this week that he’s retiring as the head of Mingo County’s school system at the end of the school year.

Keathley began his educational career as an elementary school teacher and later became a principal before working as a superintendent.

There’s no word yet on who will fill the position.
