CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say there’s no threat around a two-story home in Cedar Rapids following reports of suspicious activity.

Cedar Rapids police say officers on Friday secured the area and there is no risk to the public.

Authorities established a perimeter around the home after a fire extinguisher was apparently thrown from a window. Fire officials later verified there were no hazardous gases in or around the home.

Police say a man who refused to leave the scene was taken into custody. Another man was taken into custody on a probation violation. Additional information about them was not released.
