OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities are offering a $10,000 cash reward for information connected to the shooting of a 6-year-old Omaha girl.

The Omaha Police Department says the information must lead to an arrest in the Thursday night shooting of Taelor Fentress. It wasn’t clear whether Taelor was inside or outside a residence when the bullet struck her face.

Police will increase patrol presence to try to curb any retaliation violence. No arrests have been made.

Taelor, who was shot on her birthday, was reported in good condition late Thursday at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center.

Officers are searching for a sport utility vehicle that may have been involved in the shooting.
