PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say some students were treated after a student released pepper spray into a north Philadelphia high school.

WPVI-TV (https://6abc.cm/1kQff5i ) reports that police and firefighters were sent to Murrell Dobbins CTE High School shortly before 10 a.m. Friday.

Philadelphia School District spokesman Fernando Gallard said the pepper spray was released in a third-floor hallway.

Police said at least six students complained of burning eyes and skin, and a paramedic called to the scene treated some of them at the school.

Police say they are working with transit police in a search for an 18-year-old suspect, who could face aggravated assault charges.

Gallard said the school wasn’t evacuated.
