SIOUX CITY, Iowa (AP) - Power has been restored to almost all Sioux City customers left in the dark for nearly two hours late Friday and early Saturday.

Sioux City television station KTIV reports (https://bit.ly/1oHUYmG ) that MidAmerican Energy blamed a transformer failure for the outage that began at 11:45 p.m. Friday. The utility says power was restored by 1:30 a.m. Saturday to almost all of the more than 6,000 power customers affected.

MidAmerican says there are a few customers still without power.
