BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - An Alabama man has been charged with the fatal shooting of his estranged wife at the autism center where she worked in Birmingham.

Police say the victim is 55-year-old Stephanie Grigsby Davis. Authorities say her husband, 50-year-old James Davis, walked into Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Health Center on Friday afternoon and began shooting.

Grigsby Davis died at the scene. Police say no one else was hurt.

Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards tells Al.com that the man was arrested in Irondale after carjacking someone near the center (https://bit.ly/1mpm9Qt ). Davis is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $75,000 bond. Jail records did not list an attorney.
