ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The Alaska Department of Transportation says it’s going to be a busy road construction season along the Parks Highway.

The highway runs from south of Wasilla to Fairbanks and the department says projects may delay drivers.

The work includes $32 million in reconstruction around Healy from Miles 239 to 252. The work will be completed over two seasons ending in September 2015.

The department is planning the construction of 10 passing lanes from south of Cantwell to north of Nenana at a cost of $30 million.

Resurfacing is planned north of Talkeetna from Miles 123 to 146. The estimated cost is $20 million to $30 million and the work is tentatively scheduled to begin in July.
