ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - An autopsy will be conducted on an inmate who was found dead in her cell at a jail in Anchorage.

The Alaska State Troopers say no foul play is suspected in the death of 33-year-old Kristen Simon. Troopers say a corrections officer found Simon not breathing and with no pulse during a security check of her cell Friday evening at the Anchorage Correctional Center.

Simon had been booked into the downtown jail on a warrant for theft in the second degree and forgery.

The Anchorage Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1kUF2sU ) that Simon’s death is the fourth inside Alaska jails this year.
