MEDORA, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota native who gained national attention singing on the television program “The Voice” will perform in Medora at the end of the summer.

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation announced Friday that Kat Perkins will perform Aug. 22 at Burning Hills Amphitheater. She will sing before that evening’s regular musical.

The Scranton native developed a devoted fan base in her home state during her run on “The Voice.” She was a top-five finalist before being eliminated in mid-May.

The Bismarck Tribune reports tickets for Perkins’ show go on sale June 16 at 8 a.m. MDT.
