OGDEN, Utah (AP) - A 45-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a friend inside an Ogden storage unit.

Shawn Boehme was charged Thursday in 2nd District Court in the death of 43-year-old Elgie Mills Jr. on May 28. The shed was leased by Boehme’s father.

Boehme is accused of shooting Mills three times in the chest and head after an argument escalated. He fled the scene and was arrested Wednesday night in Layton.

Boehme made an initial court appearance Friday, and his bail was set at $500,000. He’s scheduled to return to court on Wednesday.
