SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Two men have been ordained as Roman Catholic priests in Springfield this weekend, including a former married father of three from Connecticut.

Diocese of Springfield Bishop Timothy McDonnell ordained Christopher Fedoryshyn and Francis Lawlor on Saturday at St. Michael’s Cathedral.

The 29-year-old Fedoryshyn is a Pittsfield native and graduate of both Taconic High School and Siena College who went on to attend St. John’s Seminary in Boston.

The 57-year-old Lawlor is a native of New Haven, Connecticut, and a formerly married father of three who spent 20 years in the financial investment field. He is a graduate of Providence College and was a seminarian at Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston.

Lawlor’s ordination occurred after the church annulled his marriage. His children and granddaughter attended his ordination.
