CHELSEA, Vt. (AP) - A 52-year-old Vermont woman is due to go on trial for the Christmas Day 2012 shooting death of her ex-boyfriend in his Bradford home.

Anne-Marie Whiteway has pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in the shooting death of 43-year-old Dale Rock.

Whiteway has been held without bail at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility since her arrest. If convicted, she could be sentenced to life in prison.

Police say Whiteway shot Rock in the head after arriving at his home and finding another woman staying with him.

Court documents say the woman said Whiteway had accused her of having a sexual relationship with Rock, a charge the woman denied.

The Valley News (https://bit.ly/1ibwTAB ) reports Whiteway’s trial is scheduled to begin June 24 in Chelsea.
