TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Alexandra Eppler of Enid has been named Miss Oklahoma.

The Tulsa World reports (https://bit.ly/1prfKrX ) that Eppler, competing as Miss Enid, was crowned in Tulsa on Saturday night.

Eppler is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of science degree. For the talent competition, Eppler did an interpretive dance to “Wonderland.”

As part of her winnings, Eppler will receive a $16,000 scholarship and will compete in the Miss America pageant on Sept. 14.

First runner-up was Miss Okmulgee, Georgia Frazier. Sarah Klein, competing as Miss Tulsa, was second runner-up. Jamie Butemeyer, Miss Bricktown, was third runner-up. Jordan Smith, competing as Miss Oklahoma City, was fourth runner-up.

Forty-seven contestants competed throughout the week in categories including swimsuits, evening wear, talents and interviews.

Eppler succeeds Kelsey Griswold, Miss Oklahoma 2013.
