MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia University says men’s head basketball coach Bob Huggins is recovering following surgery to replace his right hip.

According to the Morgantown school’s athletic department, Huggins underwent surgery Monday morning.

The Huggins family said the surgery went well and that the Mountaineers coach is “doing fine.”

The 60-year-old Huggins will start his 33rd season as a head coach this fall. He began his head coaching stint at West Virginia University during the 2007-2008 season.
