SEATTLE (AP) - Amazon.com announced plans Friday to build a nearly 1 million-square-foot fulfillment center in Kent.

It will be the fourth fulfillment center in Washington, after centers in Sumner, Bellevue and one in DuPont that’s nearing completion.

The online retailer says the new center at Kent will create hundreds of full-time jobs for workers to fill orders and ship small items such as books and electronics.
