SEATTLE (AP) - The 17-year-old accused of killing a man for his cellphone in Seattle has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Byron White was arraigned Monday in King County Superior Court on charges of murder, attempted robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.

KOMO Radio reports (https://www.komonews.com/radio ) the courtroom in Kent was packed Monday with his family members on one side and relatives of David Peterson on the other.

White is accused of shooting Peterson and taking his phone on Feb. 23 as he went for a walk in his Greenwood neighborhood.

If convicted the teen faces 27 to 35 years in prison.

White is a Ballard High School senior who played football. He was arrested March 1at Sea-Tac Airport as he tried to board a plane to Atlanta.
