CHICAGO (AP) - Polls will be open for an extra hour in three Chicago precincts that opened late for the primary election.

The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners says the Cook County Circuit Court has approved its request for the extension from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Chicago’s late polling sites are the Connolly Victory Post in the 23rd Ward, which was moved across the street to the Royalty East Banquet, and polling sites at Stan Properties in the 32nd Ward and the Ida Crown Jewish Academy in the 50th Ward.

And the Cook County Clerk is seeking to extend voting by a half hour at West park Fieldhouse in Des Plaines and Manor Fieldhouse in Glenview.

Spokesmen for both offices say all other polling places will close on schedule at 7 p.m.
