CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A Sistersville woman is celebrating after winning a $2 million Powerball prize.

The West Virginia Lottery says Beverly Swartzmiller claimed her prize in Charleston Tuesday along with her husband Herb.

She purchased the ticket at the ParMar 10 in Sistersville and used the Powerplay option and matched 5 numbers from last Saturday’s drawing.

Swartzmiller says she plans to use the money to help her children, grandchildren and her church.

She is the fifth person to win a prize of $1 million or more by matching five numbers from the multi-state lottery games of Powerball and Mega Millions in West Virginia this year.

Officials say that with this latest prize, 103 people have either won or shared a prize of $1 million or more in West Virginia Lottery history.
