LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (AP) - Search and rescue crews have found the body of a 34-year-old mountain biker who got lost in the Cleveland National Forest.

Riverside County sheriff’s Lt. Zachary Hall said Sunday that Andres Marin was found around 10 a.m. after a search that began Saturday evening.

Marin’s family reported that he was on an 18-mile ride at the Skyline Trailhead when he called home and said he was lost.

Searchers tried to communicate with Marine by cellphone, but failed. They couldn’t make it to the trail right away because of stormy weather and rough terrain. They also couldn’t fly helicopters to look for him because of the weather.

Hall said the cause of his death was under investigation, but there were no signs of foul play.
