BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Early voting begins Saturday for the April 5 municipal elections planned in 42 of Louisiana’s 64 parishes.

Secretary of State Tom Schedler says early voting continues at parish registrar of voters offices and some other sites through March 29 from 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. daily, excluding Sunday, March 23.

A listing of early voting locations is available online at www.sos.la.gov/ElectionsAndVoting/Pages/EarlyVotingLocations.aspx .

The April 5 election affects Acadia, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Bienville, Calcasieu, DeSoto, East Baton Rouge, East Carroll, Evangeline, Franklin, Grant, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafourche, LaSalle, Livingston, Madison, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, Richland, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tensas, Union, Vermilion, Vernon, Washington, Webster, West Baton Rouge, West Carroll and Winn parishes.
