ENOSBURG, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a man’s attempt to rob a pharmacy failed after his backpack fell onto the floor behind the counter and he left.

Police are looking for the man who attempted to rob the Rite Aid pharmacy in Enosburg on Saturday afternoon.

The St. Albans Messenger reports (https://bit.ly/1fXjjyk) the man put a black backpack and a note demanding narcotics on the counter. The man then became agitated when the backpack fell off of the counter, and he left.

Police said he was seen on Main Street getting into the passenger side of a dark sedan.
