GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Grand Rapids police say a man jabbed a nurse with a ball point pen as she prepared to leave a parking structure at the end of her work shift at a hospital.

The attack happened about 7:50 a.m. Wednesday outside Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.

Lt. Patrick Merrill tells The Grand Rapids Press (https://bit.ly/1dsGQwy ) that the nurse was getting into her car when a man grabbed her from behind and spoke to her about an ongoing dispute she is having with other people.

Merrill says the man then jabbed her in the upper chest with the pen. The lieutenant says she was treated for a minor injury.
