PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) - Umatilla County Sheriff Terry Rowan says investigators don’t suspect foul play in the death of a 60-year-old man whose body washed ashore along the Umatilla River.

Rowan says officers found some of William Powney’s belongings Tuesday but don’t know why the Hermiston man was in the area.

The East Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/bVZ43G ) an autopsy will be performed.
